Ampler Introduces 4-Year Warranty Across All New Smart Bikes

A New Standard for Urban E-Bikes Signals Deeper Transformation at Ampler

Tallinn, Estonia – 5 May 2025 — Ampler Bikes has introduced a 4-year warranty on all newly released smart e-bikes, beginning with the newly launched Nova platform. The move sets a new benchmark for urban e-bikes, reflecting not only product durability but also a profound internal rebuild of how Ampler designs, tests, and stands behind its bikes.

We’ve never offered a warranty like this before. Because we’ve never built a bike like this before,” said Eva Raigo, CEO of Ampler, referencing her open letter titled “From the Inside Out: How We Rebuilt Ampler.”

The announcement comes at a pivotal moment for the Estonian brand. After facing technical setbacks in 2022, Ampler embarked on a company-wide transformation—restructuring its design, manufacturing, and firmware development to meet a new standard of reliability and rider trust.

We came dangerously close to losing the company,” said Raigo. “But instead of giving up, we chose to rebuild it.”

Redesigning Reliability from the Inside Out

You don’t offer a 4-year warranty unless you’re really sure,” said Lennart Harju, Ampler’s Head of Product and Manufacturing.

Harju brings extensive experience in the design and development of connected light electric vehicles. Before joining Ampler, he served as Head of Vehicle Engineering at Comodule, a global leader in IoT solutions for micromobility, providing connectivity platforms for vehicle manufacturers and fleet operators. Prior to that, he worked as Industrial Engineering Development Manager at Autoliv, the world’s leading supplier of automotive safety systems, where he focused on process optimization and production technology in high-reliability environments.

Under Harju’s leadership, Ampler brought firmware development and diagnostics fully in-house, giving the team tighter feedback loops, faster iteration, and greater control over long-term product performance. The battery system was also completely redesigned with a new trusted manufacturing partner, supported by proprietary firmware applicable to both Nova and earlier models.

Significant improvements were made to electronic components, including enhanced water resistance, connectivity robustness, and durability of the ABC display system. These changes were rigorously validated through internal testing at Ampler’s Tallinn facility.

Some of the most important upgrades are things riders might never see,” said Harju, “but they’ll feel them on every ride.”

A Platform Built to Last — And Built to Be Yours

The Nova platform embodies Ampler’s evolved design philosophy: merging the agility of its previous Urban line with the endurance of its Touring bikes. The result is a flexible, modular platform built with standardized components—making it easier for riders to service, adapt, and enjoy for the long term.

Nova reflects the way we now think as a company—thoughtful, modular, resilient,” Harju explained. “Every line of code, every supplier decision, every process we rebuilt had one goal: to create bikes worthy of a four-year guarantee.

Warranty as a Commitment, Not a Campaign

Ampler’s 4-year warranty now applies to all Nova and Nova Pro models, and will extend to future platforms. The company sees this move not as a marketing gesture, but as a public commitment to the integrity of its design and manufacturing standards.

This warranty is not a gesture,” said Harju. “It’s proof of the work we’ve done—and a signal that the bikes we build today are built to last, ride after ride, year after year.”

This milestone follows the recent launch of Ampler’s USB-C charging system—the world’s first on an e-bike—and reinforces the company’s commitment to meaningful innovation grounded in real urban needs.
