A new level of connectivity for e-bike users
Yamaha and Comodule have joined forces to deliver next-generation connectivity and robust digital security for Yamaha’s PW-LINK drive systems. At the heart of this collaboration is Comodule’s Bonnie & Clyde V2 IoT module that is controlled by its Companion app — a white-label, system-agnostic solution that integrates smart drivetrain features, digital theft protection, and a seamless user experience.

Comodule Digital Lock for Yamaha Drive Unit
Comodule’s IoT technology will be able to lock the Yamaha PW-LINK drive unit via its powerful digital lock function in the Comodule Companion App, and even if the IoT module is removed, the drive unit remains disabled — reducing the value of the e-bike in case of theft. This feature combined with Comodule’s sound alarm system and critical movement alert provides best-in-class digital security for Yamaha PW-LINK e-bikes.
Enhanced Digital Experience
The Companion app empowers brands to offer a premium digital experience with a fully OEM branded experience. Riders can view relevant information of the Yamaha PW-LINK system in a riding dashboard. Thanks to the IoT technology, riders can remotely monitor critical e-bike system information like state of charge and error codes. Rides can be tracked and recorded automatically and uploaded to Strava.
