POC updates and invests in its global organization
POC, which has built a reputation on safety, innovation and design, continues to support its growth and presence globally with strategic hires and organizational updates across key territories.
POC’s North America, Asia, and Oceania territories will see new hires and promotions in key positions, alongside two important and strategic hires in global logistics and global e-commerce at POC’s headquarters in Stockholm.
Commenting on the updates, Derek Bouchard-Hall, CEO, POC, said, “POC is held up as a benchmark in innovation and safety, with unquestionable product development and a willingness to break with conventional thinking. Over the last twenty years, it’s been an approach that has gained a loyal following and a significant global presence in cycling and snow sports. The updates and investments we are introducing in our regional and central teams will support our continued growth and be closer and more responsive to all our customers.”
Two strategic hires have joined POC’s head office to support its growth strategy. Jan van Eimern, POC’s new Global Logistics Director, is charged with streamlining and futureproofing POC’s supply chain and logistics. Jan has over a decade of experience in supply chain leadership, most recently as the Global Head of Logistics at Daniel Wellington.
E-commerce is a continued focus for POC and will be led in the future by leading industry expert Bogdan Sârbu, who assumes the position of Chief Digital Officer. A seasoned e-commerce and direct-to-consumer (DTC) expert, Bogdan will bring his experience leading e-commerce at prominent outdoor brands Haglöfs and Patagonia to drive POC’s digital transformation.
Updates in North America and APAC
POC’s position in NA is enhanced with the newly promoted Chase Crane, who will assume the Sales Director North America position. Chase previously led sales for POC as a regional sales manager and has been a significant factor in POC’s growth in NA.
POC will fine-tune its presence in APAC by creating two distinct territories, Asia and Oceania, supported by a new sales force in Australia and an enhanced focus on existing distributor partnerships in Asia.
The new Oceania territory, covering Australia and New Zealand, will see the creation of two new sales representative positions in Australia, which will be in place at the start of 2025. The newly appointed POC Country Manager, Sam Wethey, will lead the new Oceania territory, and Callum Johnston will fill the new International Key Account Manager for Asia.
Kolja Plegt, Chief Commercial Officer, POC, said – “POC has grown dramatically in recent years, and our APAC and NA teams have been a fundamental feature of that growth. Our objective in updating our current organization, with a new Asia and Oceania territory and new NA focus, is to get closer to the markets to support our partners, retailers and consumers better.”
All changes will come into effect immediately.
Notes to editors
Oceania comprises Australia and New Zealand. Asia covers a more considerable territory, including China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and many more.
